Toto - Bottom of Your Soul

Toto foi/é uma banda formada nos anos 70 de AOR ou Arena Rock (um gênero complicado de definir e bem amplo que, em geral, seria como um hard rock com uma produção mais limpa e com muitas power ballads). Toto seria uma das melhores definições de AOR/Arena Rock ao lado do Boston e do Journey mas é bem amplo ao ir de algo mais jazz ou progressivo ao pop. Sendo um raro caso de uma banda formada por alguns dos mais experientes "músicos de sessão" da época. Lançado em 2006 "Falling In Between" foi bem aclamado pela crítica, assim como seu single: Bottom of Your Soul, e até então é o álbum de fim de carreira da banda.

Lançado no verão de 2006 e alcançando o top 10 europeu, Bottom of Your Soul foi um grande sucesso para a banda. O canção conta com a participação de ilustres ex-membros da banda, como Joseph Williams, filho do famoso compositor de trilhas sonoras John Williams, e Steve Porcaro. Além de vários outros músicos convidados para o álbum, como Ian Anderson do Jethro Tull e o "sax man" Tom Scott. A letra é bela, com um refrão mais introspectivo e uma mensagem social explícita ao longo da faixa.
